Commercial Hot Water
The solution to your hot water concerns is always just a phone call away. Kaiser-Battistone is fully-equipped with the right knowledge and experience to deal with all your hot water demands, including energy efficient, tankless installations.
Tankless Water Heaters
These water-filled wonders provide you with all the hot water you need, while saving money on your energy bill. Tankless water heaters have many benefits, including:
- Longer life span. Tankless units last an average of 20 years. Traditional, storage tank systems average just 10 to 15 years.
- Energy cost savings. Tankless water heaters heat the water only when needed – as opposed to storage tank systems which keep the water hot at all times. Since water heating accounts for 20% or more of an average business energy bill, there is potential for huge savings here.
- Endless supply. The heating device in a tankless water heater is activated by the flow of water when a hot water valve is opened. Once activated, the hot water supply is endless. Also, and since the water doesn’t start heating until it’s turned on, many businesses install a specialized pumping system to conserve water and prevent delayed heating.
Tips on going tankless:
- Select a unit based on the maximum amount of hot water needed at peak demand
- Take into account where in the building hot water is needed
- Take into account any electrical requirements
- Work with a knowledgeable and reputable plumbing company.
- Always wear plenty of suntan lotion. (Oh wait, that’s a tip on going top)
Well Tanks
Well systems use a pump and storage tank to deliver the water needed. The pump draws water from your well and delivers it to your well tank, where it is stored under pressure until needed.
There are three types of well tanks:
- Diaphragm or bladder style tanks with a permanent separation between air and water
- Float or wafer style tanks that separate air and water
- Basic steel tanks
Our highly skilled and impeccably well-mannered technicians can recommend the appropriate tank style to use based on your well yield and building water requirements.

Sump Pumps
We are skilled and experienced in:
- Testing, troubleshooting, and fixing existing sump pump systems
- Replacing old or defective sump pumps
- Installing combination sump pump systems (two pumps with battery backup)
Sump Pump Systems
The specifics vary by location when it comes to selecting and installing the correct sump pump system. That said, a dual pump system comprised of a primary pump (pedestal or submersible), an emergency backup pump (battery powered), and an emergency backup pump alarm (in case both systems fail at the same time) are what is most commonly needed. Water damage can shut your business down quickly, so it’s critical that a reliable sump pump system be installed on your premises.

Winterizing Your Plumbing
You’ve probably noticed – it can get mighty cold here in Connecticut. That’s fun for your pet penguins, but it can cause serious problems for your plumbing. Winterizing your plumbing – both inside and out – can help prevent cold-related problems.
We’ll complete a complete inspection of your premises, paying special attention to pipes that may be particularly prone to freezing. Typically, these are pipes near windows, doors, and outside walls, as well as unheated areas like attics, crawl spaces and that secret place you hide when your coworkers are annoying you.
