Commercial Hot Water

Tankless Water Heaters

These water-filled wonders provide you with all the hot water you need, while saving money on your energy bill.  Tankless water heaters have many benefits, including:

• Longer life span. Tankless units last an average of 20 years. Traditional, storage tank systems average just 10 to 15 years.
• Energy cost savings. Tankless water heaters heat the water only when needed – as opposed to storage tank systems which keep the water hot at all times. Since water heating accounts for 20% or more of an average business energy bill, there is potential for huge savings here.
• Endless supply. The heating device in a tankless water heater is activated by the flow of water when a hot water valve is opened.  Once activated, the hot water supply is endless. Also, and since the water doesn’t start heating until it’s turned on, many businesses install a specialized pumping system to conserve water and prevent delayed heating.

Tips on going tankless:

• Select a unit based on the maximum amount of hot water needed at peak demand

Well Tanks

Well systems use a pump and storage tank to deliver the water needed. The pump draws water from your well and delivers it to your well tank, where it is stored under pressure until needed.

There are three types of well tanks:

1. Diaphragm or bladder style tanks with a permanent separation between air and water
2. Float or wafer style tanks that separate air and water
3. Basic steel tanks
